We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Lead to join our team at Cranleigh Scientific Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.



About the Role


  • The successful candidate will lead the quality function, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and developing comprehensive quality frameworks.
  • They will collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and R&D Leads to define strategies for the long-term growth of QA and QC functions.
  • This role includes management responsibilities and requires a strong leader who can motivate and mentor the quality team.
  • The candidate will identify and execute process improvements, ensuring adherence to SOPs and best practices across the site.
  • They will also conduct internal audits and manage external audits from regulatory bodies or customers.


Responsibilities:

The Quality Lead will be responsible for:




  • Developing and implementing quality management systems aligned with industry standards.
  • Leading and mentoring the quality team.
  • Identifying and executing process improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Preparing and presenting reports.
  • Providing strategic leadership for quality processes.
  • Setting team goals and KPIs.
  • Conducting internal audits and managing external audits from regulatory bodies or customers.


Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:




  • A BSc/MSc/PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a QA/QC leadership role.
  • Experience leading customer or regulatory audits.
  • A proven track record in managing and implementing quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with food quality standards like HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001.
