About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Emotional and Behavioural Mentor to join our team at a SEMH school in Havering. As an Emotional and Behavioural Mentor, you will be responsible for supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them build the social and emotional skills they need to thrive in life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, fostering strong support networks.
  • To provide expert advice and guidance on behaviour management strategies to teachers and other support staff.
  • To develop and implement individualised behaviour plans to help students manage challenging behaviour effectively.

Requirements:

  • A background in counselling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs.
  • Knowledge of SEMH strategies and experience managing challenging behaviour in a supportive and effective manner.

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
