Job Title: Early Years SEN Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join our team at Step Teachers. As an Early Years SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex needs in mainstream schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal development.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.

Requirements:

  • Previously worked as a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience in a mainstream school.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience).
