About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary school in Havering. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supporting students with ADHD, challenging behaviour, autism, Asperger’s, and dyslexia.

The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal development. This will involve working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN, promoting their educational and personal development.
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • Fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment, encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience in a mainstream school.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.

$30,000 - $40,000 per annum (dependent on experience), depending on the level of qualifications and experience.
