About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at Look Ahead. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, promoting their emotional, psychological wellbeing, and helping them develop the life skills they require to meet their assessed needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and monitor customer behaviours, identifying factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour
  • Plan and implement appropriate interventions to modify and resolve the behaviour
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, families, and other professionals
  • Participate in the reviewing and designing of behavioural interventions plans
  • Implement behaviour support plans, measuring goals and objectives to ensure they are being met
  • Communicate with parents and care managers regarding customer progress
  • Assist customers in identifying inappropriate behaviours and developing better alternatives
  • Support customers in developing independent living skills, including personal and physical care
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the service

Requirements:

  • Good IT skills
  • Valid UK driver's license
  • Experience working with customers with Autism/Behaviour that challenges (desirable)
