About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at Look Ahead in Hertfordshire. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and monitor customer behaviours, identifying triggers and alleviating factors.
  • Plan and implement effective interventions to modify and resolve behaviours.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, families, and other professionals.
  • Participate in reviewing and designing Behavioural Support Plans.
  • Implement and measure the success of Behavioural Support Plans.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, care managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist customers in identifying and developing better behaviour alternatives.
  • Support customers in developing independent living skills, including personal and physical care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the service.

Requirements:

  • Good IT skills.
  • Valid UK driver's license.
  • Desirable: experience with PBS Approach, NVQ Level or equivalent, and minimum years of experience working with customers with Autism/Behaviour that challenges.
