Specialist Behavioural Support Worker for Learning Disabilities

At Look Ahead, we're seeking a highly skilled Specialist Behavioural Support Worker to join our team in Hertfordshire.
As a Specialist Behavioural Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting customers with their emotional, psychological wellbeing and develop the life skills they need to meet their assessed needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Behaviour Analysis:
- Observe and monitor customer behaviours, identifying triggers and alleviating factors
- Plan and implement appropriate interventions to modify and resolve behaviours
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and support organisations
- Present and feedback to other professionals in a formal setting
- Report possible cases of abuse, neglect or endangerment
- Actively participate in reviewing and designing behavioural interventions plans
- Implement behaviour support plans and measure progress
- Assist customers in identifying inappropriate behaviours and develop better alternatives
- Supports other staff in delivering behavioural interventions.
Other Responsibilities:
- Deliver all aspects of support to enable customers to develop independent living skills
- Support customers to undertake domestic tasks and ensure high-quality accommodation
- Participate in support planning and risk management
- Carry out security duties to ensure customer safety and premises security
- Enable customers to access community facilities and integrate into the community
- Report any observations relating to customer welfare
- Adhere to Look Ahead policies and procedures
- Maintain records and participate in team meetings and reviews.
