Senior Cardiology Simulation Fellow

Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Cardiology Simulation Fellow at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a senior clinical fellow, you will be responsible for delivering simulation courses for junior cardiology trainees, teaching them practical skills required in cardiology.
Main Duties
- Develop and deliver a cardiac simulation programme for cardiology trainees, focusing on practical and interventional skills.
- Support pericardiocentesis simulation sessions at two BHRS simulation events per year.
- Develop, plan, and deliver skills training and simulation courses within the Trust, working alongside clinical specialists.
- Prepare and produce resources and IT materials required to support the aforementioned skills training and simulation courses.
- Develop simulation teaching packages reflecting current evidence-based practices.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-focused, collaborative protocols and practices.
- Identify opportunities for multi-disciplinary teaching and learning within the Trust.
- Participate as faculty, including debriefer and embedded practitioner, on simulation training days.
- Act in accordance with the GMC's standards, codes of conduct, and scope of professional practice.
- Participate in quality assurance, evaluation, and audit of programmes.
- Assist in the development and progress of faculty members.
- Participate in approved research as indicated.
Person Specification
- Senior clinical fellow able to teach practical skills to junior trainees (either electrophysiology or interventional cardiology).
- Signed off as competent for both core cardiology and specialist cardiology work (either electrophysiology or coronary intervention).
Eligibility
- Cardiology Trainee with NTN - Grade ST6-7 +.
