Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Cardiology

Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Fellow to join our Paediatric Cardiology team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Fellow, you will play a crucial role in the provision of cardiac services, working at middle grade level with other registrars employed by the trust.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Cardiology Services, including ward rounds, review of postoperative patients, echocardiography, and paediatric outpatient clinics. You will also be involved in duties within the cardiac transplant and pulmonary hypertension teams as required.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to gain and extend your clinical experience in Paediatric Cardiology, in a unique and supportive environment. You will have access to training opportunities, including ward-based assessments, consultant-supervised training clinics, echocardiography, and cardiac catheterization.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working as a doctor in paediatrics or adult cardiology, with experience in neonatology and intensive care highly valued. You will also possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise your workload, work under pressure in a multi-disciplinary environment, and make clinical decisions and manage clinical problems.
