Job Summary

The role of Research Fellow in Interventional Cardiology is to support ongoing research in the interventional cardiology department, focusing on regenerative medicine and interventional research. This position is ideal for a well-organised individual with a desire to undertake a period of research training as part of their clinical training.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing aims and objectives for a higher degree, obtaining funding and ethical approval, and assisting with the running and recruitment to the portfolio of departmental research studies.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Primary medical qualification as recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • MRCP (or Equivalent)
  • Intercalated BSc or MSc
  • Good Clinical Practice training
  • Knowledge of general research techniques
  • Experience of statistical analyses
