Research Fellow in Interventional Cardiology Specialist

The Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Fellow to support ongoing research in the interventional cardiology department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of cardiology and medical conditions, and will be part of a team that is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and innovative research.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Research Fellow will be responsible for supporting the cardiac intervention research activities, including developing aims and objectives for a higher degree, obtaining funding and ethical approval, and contributing to the running and recruitment to the portfolio of departmental research studies. The successful candidate will also be expected to record, analyze, and communicate scientific data, and to write scientific papers and present at scientific meetings.

Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will have a primary medical qualification as recognized by the General Medical Council (GMC) and current Full Registration with the GMC. They will also have MRCP (or Equivalent) and experience in successfully conducting own projects. Excellent presentation skills, ability to exercise initiative, and ability to work constructively and effectively within a small team are essential. The ability to collaborate and relate with others, and excellent communication skills are also desirable.
