Clinical Educator

The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a pivotal role in advancing learning and development within gastro-enterology and endoscopy services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver clinical education programs to support the acquisition of new skills and knowledge.
- Promote a culture that encourages learning and sustains personal and professional staff development.
- Provide expert guidance and supervision to staff in clinical practice.
- Undertake training needs analyses to inform a training plan that utilizes both internal and external education resources.
- Provide governance in relation to mandatory and specialty-specific education and training.
- Lead on the development, delivery, and evaluation of multi-professional learning programs.
- Ensure the delivery of local induction for new staff.
- Provide competency-based clinical skills assessment and feedback.
- Support career development through the provision of career conversations.
- Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced staff.
- Identify potential continued professional development opportunities and support individuals and teams to access these.
- Teach and present to multi-professional groups.
- Develop and maintain a training database.
- Produce a range of reports.
- Promote a positive culture to support psychological safety for all staff and learners.
- Provide leadership and supervision for less experienced members of the team.
