Clinical Midwifery Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Midwifery Educator to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Midwifery Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to women and their families throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
Main Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with Senior Midwives to deliver effective, high-quality, safe, patient-centered care.
- Contribute to the continuing education, training, and professional development of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to promote the acquisition of new skills and knowledge.
- Develop and drive forward an education programme to ensure that Midwives and Maternity Support Workers acquire the professional standards and competencies required when caring for women as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
- Promote reflective practice, clinical supervision, and experiential learning opportunities to develop a safe learning culture.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Registered midwife
- Recognised training or teaching qualification or equivalent experience
- Educated to degree level or working towards a degree or with relevant experience
- Evidence of recent professional development
Desirable qualifications include:
- Coaching and/or mentoring qualification
- Educated to postgraduate diploma level acquired through degree and professional teaching/training qualification, or equivalent level of training experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of supporting and assessing learners and providing guidance to staff and managers regarding learning
- Experience of working with groups and individuals from all backgrounds, across all disciplines in a variety of roles and settings
- Knowledge of professional requirements related to supporting learners in practice
Desirable skills and aptitudes include:
- Experience of delivering and evaluating learning programmes for diverse staff groups
- Evidence of developing training packages (online and/or face to face)
- Data collection
- Experience of delivering clinical supervision
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, organisational skills, and the ability to work as a member of a team.
