Job Title: Academic Health Care Professional

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as an Academic Health Care Professional at Boundary Oak School.

About the Role:

  • This is a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work in a school setting, providing medical care to students and staff while also teaching and supporting academic staff with pastoral care and counseling.
  • The successful candidate will have experience in either school nursing, A&E, pediatric nursing, or adolescent health, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing medical care to students and staff on a daily basis, including administering first aid, ensuring the best possible medical care, and treating students and staff as appropriate.
  • Managing the day-to-day running of the medical room, including ensuring it is appropriately staffed, stocked, and equipped.
  • Liaising with parents, staff, and local health authorities to ensure the best possible outcomes for students with medical needs.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (adult or child) with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children.
  • Confident and calm when dealing with accidents and first aid issues.
  • Friendly, sympathetic, and supportive personality.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
