We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Safeguarding and Complex Care Team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will provide specialized support and training to enhance patient and staff experience, developing and delivering staff training and liaising with multidisciplinary teams. They will take an active part in advising on safe discharge plans and support clinical staff with specialist advice relating to safeguarding children.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide specialized support and training to enhance patient and staff experience
- Develop and deliver staff training and liaise with multidisciplinary teams
- Advise on safe discharge plans and support clinical staff with specialist advice
- Have a passion for safeguarding children and the unborn
- Have a compassionate, person-centered approach to care and an ability to role model
- Have a good understanding of the multiagency agenda for safeguarding children
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Qualification in Safeguarding Adults/Children
- Knowledge of national and local safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and policy
- Basic knowledge around the Mental Capacity Act, including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- Knowledge of the Think family approach to safeguarding (desirable)
