We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Surgery Specialist to join our team at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing specialist paediatric surgical services to the Northern Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the provision of high-quality care to patients and their families.

The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience in neonatal surgical and intensive care units. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ward assessment and management of elective and emergency admissions
  • Experience in neonatal surgical and intensive care unit
  • Three elective operating lists and two outpatient sessions per week
  • On-call duties on a 1 in 7 basis including prospective cover

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will also participate in regular postgraduate teaching and contribute to departmental training sessions. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise through time off with pay and expenses for approved courses and conferences.
