This is an exceptional opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team working on translational research projects for genetic skin research, neuromuscular diseases, and other rare disorders. As a Translational Medicine Specialist, you will play a crucial role in establishing a national Rare Disease Trial Accelerator Platform (RD-TAP) for a number of rare diseases in the UK.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development and operation of the Rare Disease Recruitment Portal (RDRP)
  • Attending paediatric and adult outpatient clinics for patients with rare skin diseases
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Reviewing literature and technology related to rare disease registry work

You should have a Medical degree, GMC registration, and license to practice in the UK or be able to obtain within 6 months. Key requirements include a strong understanding of patient registries and databases within the NHS environment, as well as knowledge of clinical trial methodology and GCP Principles.
