  • Provide clinical leadership, management, support, and guidance to clinicians in supporting STOMP and STAMP across different pathways.
  • Collaborate with nursing teams to improve the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of medicines use and physical health monitoring of patients with a learning disability diagnosis.
  • Contribute to the development of mental health prescribing policy across the region, aligning with STOMP-STAMP guidance and collaborating with GPs, pharmacists, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Establish systems and processes for training and supervising staff undertaking enhanced STOMP-STAMP medication reviews to ensure they are suitably trained and competent.
  • Lead on and provide subject expert input into groups related to clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation.
  • Deliver education, training, and clinical supervision in STOMP-STAMP across the trust, sharing learning across the NENC ICB.
  • Contribute to the evidence base on effective medicines use and medicines optimisation in people with learning disabilities, autism, or both, and lead the research agenda relating to STOMP-STAMP in the trust, collaborating with stakeholders and clinical colleagues.
