Job RoleWe are seeking a skilled Management Accounts Assistant to join our GB Materials Division in Derby. The successful candidate will provide critical financial administration support to various areas within the business, including quarries, asphalt plants, and concrete plants. This role involves working with financial data, producing month-end reports, and supporting the Finance Business Partners in providing financial and KPI data.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in health and safety awareness and support across sites
- Assist in producing month-end reports
- Provide support to finance business partners in providing financial and KPI data
- Analyze costs by site throughout the month and period end to ensure accurate coding
- Analyze accounting data by site throughout the month and period end
- Provide production statistics and inventory movements and reconciliation
- Reconcile capital expenditure
- Produce post-month end reporting package and analysis
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide first-line support for queries
- Offer holiday cover for other management accounts assistants
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a high level of written and numerical literacy. An AAT qualification or part-qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) is desirable, and we will support ongoing development.
Salary and BenefitsThis role offers a competitive salary of £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a company pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days' holiday, and enhanced parental leave. You will also have access to comprehensive training and career progression opportunities.
