Job Description:
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Safeguarding Manager to join our team at Pertemps TM. As a key member of our housing environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our vulnerable customers.
Our client aims to enable local companies to recruit the workforce they need from their communities, contributing to economic growth and sustaining around 7,000 jobs in the building industry and its supply chain.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues in identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns, including training on types and signs of abuse.
- Maintain strong partnerships with statutory agencies and challenge professional differences when necessary.
- Oversee case management, data tracking, and following up on action plans.
- Lead on the coordination and development of safeguarding policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Manage sensitive information with discretion, supporting colleagues in dealing with difficult cases.
- Collaborate with external partners and agencies to ensure joined-up approaches to safeguarding.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience of managing complex safeguarding cases, involving both adults and children.
- Understanding of the legislation surrounding and relating to Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, Domestic Abuse, and reporting processes.
- Able to coordinate safeguarding concerns and educate colleagues on the types and signs of abuse.
- Experience of identifying safeguarding concerns in peoples' homes.
- Possess a level 3 safeguarding qualification.
