Job Description

Job Title: Head of SEN

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of SEN to join our dynamic team in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our SEN team and ensuring that students with diverse and challenging needs receive the support and care they require.

About the Role:

  • Lead the SEN team in providing high-quality support and care to students with SEN
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote student engagement and inclusion
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that students receive the best possible education
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of student progress and SEN provision

Requirements:

  • Hold a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS)
  • National Award for SEN Co-ordination / NPQ for SENCOs (or be in first 3 years of a SENCO role)
  • Degree or equivalent
  • NPQSL and/or NPQH (desirable)
