Export and Shipping Manager

Freightserve, a leading freight forwarding and shipping company, is seeking an experienced Import/Export Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our import and export operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end import and export process, including documentation, customs clearance, transportation, and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant import and export regulations, including customs laws, trade agreements, and sanctions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities, carriers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on changes in customs regulations and trade policies and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit customs documentation, including import/export declarations, permits, licenses, and certificates of origin.
  • Lead and motivate the Import and Export team, including the Import Supervisor, Export Supervisor, and Operations Agents.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding import and export shipments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in import/export operations management, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade compliance, and logistics principles.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, with knowledge of CDS and customer knowledge being essential.
