About the Role

UK Export Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our team. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in managing a portfolio of export finance transactions, ensuring timely and successful close, and providing expert advice to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of export finance transactions, including risk assessment, financial structuring, and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior members of the banking and exporting community.
  • Make informed decisions on new business opportunities, considering commercial and public sector knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop creative solutions for risk and financial structuring.
  • Ensure compliance with UKEF's governing Act of Parliament, Consent to operate by HM Treasury, International Agreements, and UKEF's own policies and practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in export finance, risk management, and financial structuring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of UKEF's policies, procedures, and governing documents.
