Import/Export Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Import/Export Administrator to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods, managing supply chains, and ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Freight Coordination: Manage the transportation of goods, coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centers to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
  • Compliance: Stay updated with international shipping regulations, customs laws, and trade compliance requirements to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and negotiate freight rates, manage transportation budgets, and seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate inventory levels to align with shipping schedules, avoiding stockouts or excess inventory situations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in import/logistics/freight coordination or a similar role within the logistics industry.
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems relevant to shipping and customs procedures.
