Job Summary

The University System of NH is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team at the Plymouth State University Counseling Center. As a key member of our staff, you will provide individual and group psychological counseling and crisis response to students, consultation to faculty and staff, and campus outreach and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group psychological counseling and crisis response to students.
  • Consult with faculty and staff regarding psychological issues affecting students.
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotation.
  • Participate in individual supervision/consultation with director and presentation at clinical/medical staff meetings.
  • Provide outreach and support for campus as needed/requested.
Training Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Obtain competency as a supervisor according to NH licensing board with adherence to ethical standards and practices of supervision.
  • Provide supervision, leadership, and training to practicum and internship students, as well as onboarding new employees to the PSUCC.
  • Interview and evaluate candidates for practicum/internship positions.
  • Provide weekly supervision to practicum/internship students and be available for additional impromptu supervision and support.
  • Discuss and encourage counselor self-care.
  • Review and provide feedback on documentation.
  • Use electronic systems to track supervision hours and keep documentation of supervision.
  • Evaluate practicum and internship students and provide feedback to their graduate school supervisors/advisers.
  • Gatekeeping responsibilities according to ethical guidelines of various professional boards.
