About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional to join our team at Livewell Southwest. As an Approved Mental Health Professional, you will play a crucial role in carrying out statutory assessments on behalf of the local authority under the Mental Health Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Mental Health Act Assessments in a range of settings
  • Prepare and present social circumstances reports to Mental Health Review Tribunals
  • Work collaboratively with other colleagues and team members to achieve the goals of the team
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to other mental health and social care services as required
Requirements
  • Current professional registration with a relevant professional body (occupational therapist, psychologist, nurse, or social worker)
  • Successful completion of Approved Mental Health Professional training
  • Post-approval training record (covering 18 days for each 12-month approved)
