Job Title: Consultant Adult Psychiatry with Community

We are seeking an exceptional consultant psychiatrist to join our Community Mental Health Service, recognized for its proactive and collaborative approach with community providers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to community patients through outpatient clinics.
  • Contribute to decision-making in patient care and service provision, working closely with medical and operational management.
  • Opportunities for research, appraisals, and audit, as well as leadership roles in education and clinical supervision.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility for full registration with the GMC and a license to practice.
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry at the time of taking up the post.
  • Eligibility for Section 12 and Approved Clinician Approval.
  • Extensive experience in Community/Adult Psychiatry.
  • Knowledge of Mental Health legislation.
  • Participation in Continual Professional Development.
  • Ability to offer expert psychiatric opinion and apply evidence-based approaches.
  • Ability to teach undergraduates and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Person Specification:
  • MBBS qualification.
  • GMC registration.
