Austin Fraser Sussex is seeking an experienced SEMH teaching assistant to work at a special school in Seaford. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students in the classroom, assisting with lesson planning, preparation and delivery.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a rewarding and challenging role that requires patience, understanding and a passion for supporting others.
Key Responsibilities- Assist teachers and students in the classroom
- Help with lesson planning, preparation and delivery
- Assess and provide feedback on student work
- De-escalate challenging behaviour and promote positive outcomes
