Job Title: Logistics and Stock Movement Supervisor

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Logistics and Stock Movement Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient management of deliveries and movements through the loading bay of a large, mixed-purpose development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all activities within the loading bay, ensuring the safe and secure handling of deliveries, supplies, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with retailers, contractors, residents, and hotel staff for scheduled deliveries and collections.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of security officers assigned to the loading bay, ensuring high standards of performance.
  • Provide ongoing training and development for the team on security protocols, health and safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure all staff are fully briefed on site policies and maintain regular team briefings.
  • Develop and implement back-of-house security training for all relevant staff, ensuring they are fully equipped to handle incidents and emergencies.
  • Monitor and manage the security of assets moving through the loading bay, ensuring proper logging and tracking of high-value items.
  • Implement asset control measures to minimize loss or damage to equipment and goods.
  • Ensure effective coordination with facilities and maintenance teams for the management of deliveries and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to loading bay operations, including health and safety and fire regulations.
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks, ensuring the loading bay is free of hazards and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, including GDPR, safeguarding, and ethical standards.
  • Liaise with retail tenants, residential management, hotel staff, and contractors to ensure clear communication and coordination of deliveries and access.
  • Handle any issues or complaints related to loading bay operations, ensuring swift and professional resolution.
Requirements:
  • SIA Licence required.
  • Computer literacy using a variety of software including Microsoft Office Suite, SafetyCulture, MyTAG, Genetec, and SALTO.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident and personable with a good telephone manner.
  • Excellent levels of customer service.
  • Knowledge of high-end residential and 5* hotel environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and recording capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and organize self and juniors in a fast-moving environment.
