Main Responsibilities

The Specialist Consultant in Histopathology will be responsible for providing a comprehensive histopathology service, including developing specialist interests in Dermatopathology, Oral/Head and Neck pathology, and other related areas.

You will work closely with other members of the Pathology Directorate to ensure effective administrative arrangements are made in the laboratory, including recruitment and appointment of junior medical staff and secretarial staff.

As a Senior Doctor in Laboratory Medicine, you will also be required to participate in resource management and attend Board meetings when pathology issues are being discussed.

This role requires a high level of expertise in Pathology and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum.
