Are you an experienced Pathology Doctor looking for a challenging opportunity in the North of England?

We have a vacancy for a Locum Consultant in Histopathology at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NFT - Doctors, based at the prestigious Royal Preston Hospital.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with shifts from 9am to 5pm. As a consultant in this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various diseases, including inflammatory and neoplastic conditions, as well as gastrointestinal pathology.

You will work alongside a friendly and multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, utilizing advanced medical equipment to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical care to patients where needed and conduct ward rounds and outpatient clinics.
  • Oversee the smooth running of the Pathology Department, planning workload and staffing requirements.
  • Supervise and teach junior medical staff as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience at Consultant level or references supporting your transition up to Consultant level.
  • Evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK (unfortunately locum jobs are not able to offer visa sponsorship).
  • Ability to pass an enhanced background check (DBS).
