Supporting Students with SEMH Needs

Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable SEN school in London.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide support to students with SEMH needs, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. They will collaborate with teaching staff to implement the curriculum, ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with SEMH needs, promoting their emotional well-being and social development.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment, free from distractions and interruptions.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement the curriculum, adapting it to meet the needs of students with SEMH.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with SEMH students, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, managing challenging behaviour effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Eligibility to work in the UK, with a valid visa.
- Recent classroom-based references and a valid DBS/Police check.
A successful candidate will undergo a DBS and police check, providing at least two professional references from previous employers. The salary for this role is £90+ per day, depending on experience, with a full-time contract on a term-time only basis.
