About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with complex needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment for students with special educational needs.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Assist class teachers with classroom activities, providing one-to-one and small group support to students.
  • Be willing to perform personal care duties as needed, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards students' individual needs.
  • Support students with challenging behavior, using de-escalation techniques and strategies to promote positive outcomes.

About Us

Requirements:

  • Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Recent experience supporting individuals with additional needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Ready to start immediately.
  • Willingness to undergo child and adult DBS clearance through Lara Search.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will benefit from:
