We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lead Orthotist to join our specialist team at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering orthotic services to the highest clinical and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading clinically with complex cases
  • Training, mentoring, and supervising less experienced colleagues
  • Providing guidance to the clinical team on the most appropriate clinical intervention
  • Leading the orthotic team in outcome measurement, including the use of gait analysis equipment
  • Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing, and adjusting orthoses as required
  • Assisting with presentations, seminars, training, and education at all levels
  • Working within the framework provided by the company to ensure cost-effective product provision
  • Taking part in clinical audit and clinical research, liaising with both clinical and technical employees

Requirements:

  • Qualified in Prosthetics and Orthotics
  • HCPC registration
  • Member of BAPO/ISPO (desirable)
  • Experience in a wide range of orthotic provision, including paediatrics, orthopaedics, and footwear
  • Able to prioritise and manage your own workload and that of others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with colleagues at all levels
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
