We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lead Orthotist to join our specialist team at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre in Birmingham. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for delivering orthotic services to the highest clinical and ethical standards.

The role involves leading clinically with complex cases, providing training and supervision to less experienced colleagues, and guiding the clinical team on the most appropriate clinical intervention.

You will work closely with the team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Prosthetics and Orthotics, with experience in a wide range of orthotic provision, including paediatrics, orthopaedics, and footwear.

They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage difficult, challenging, and sensitive situations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading clinically with complex cases
  • Training, mentoring, and supervising less experienced colleagues
  • Providing guidance to the clinical team on the most appropriate clinical intervention
  • Leading the orthotic team in outcome measurement, including the use of gait analysis equipment
  • Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing, and adjusting orthoses as required
  • Assisting with presentations, seminars, training, and education at all levels
  • Working within the framework provided by the company to ensure cost-effective product provision
  • Taking part in clinical audit and clinical research, liaising with both clinical and technical employees
