Job Opportunity: Clinical Lead Orthotist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Orthotist to join our specialist team at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre in Birmingham.

About the Role:

As a Clinical Lead Orthotist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality orthotic services to our patients. You will provide training and supervision to less experienced colleagues and students, and work closely with the clinical team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead clinically on complex cases
  • Train and mentor less experienced colleagues
  • Provide guidance on clinical interventions
  • Lead the orthotic team in outcome measurement
  • Assess, measure, cast, fit, supply, review, and adjust orthoses as required
  • Assist with presentations, seminars, training, and education
  • Work within the company framework to ensure cost-effective product provision
  • Participate in clinical audit and research

Requirements:

  • Qualified in Prosthetics and Orthotics
  • HCPC registration
  • Member of BAPO/ISPO (desirable)
  • Experience in a wide range of orthotic provision
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
