Children's Deputy Pharmacy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Deputy Manager to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Dispensary Manager in the provision of all operational aspects of the dispensary service. This will include facilitating the rapid discharge of patients from hospital, ensuring that Pharmacy and the Trust meets its objectives with regards to TTA turnaround times, and facilitating workflow for in-patients, out-patients, and controlled drug dispensing.
Main Responsibilities- Organize and manage the provision of all dispensary-based services, including inpatients, outpatients, and controlled drugs to agreed performance targets.
- Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the team in line with good people management practices.
- Supervise staff and activities in the dispensary to ensure that all work is completed accurately, promptly, and in order of priority.
- Deliver a customer-focused service to all patients who attend the Dispensary.
- Promote pharmaceutical care for all patients.
- Check clinically screened dispensed prescriptions.
- Provide specialized advice to patients/clients directly using the dispensary service.
- Investigate Pharmacy errors relating to the Dispensary and suggest strategies to minimize or eliminate risk.
- Participate in regular performance appraisal meetings.
- Ensure the team is compliant with all statutory, mandatory training.
- Manage team absences, including sickness, in line with Trust policy.
- Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Direct Line management of staff.
- Practice Supervisor Training or equivalent.
