Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) is a world-renowned centre of excellence in child healthcare, dedicated to providing innovative and effective care to children and young people with complex health needs.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Research and Innovation directorate as Deputy Director of Operations. This is a newly created role that will be responsible for the operational delivery of research projects, including the management of the research budget and oversight of resources and output across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record in operational delivery of research projects, ideally with knowledge of working within a BRC, CRF or clinical trials setting. They will bring experience of leading change management and process improvement programmes and encourage a culture of cohesive and integrated working across the directorate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the research budget and oversee resources and output across the organisation
- Lead the operational delivery of research projects, including the management of the NIHR GOSH Biomedical Research Centre Innovation, the NIHR GOSH Clinical Research Facility, and non-medical research Core R&I infrastructure
- Develop and implement change management and process improvement programmes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of research operations
- Encourage a culture of cohesive and integrated working across the directorate
Requirements:
