Job Summary
Diamond Health Group is seeking an exceptional Medical Secretary to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our practice, you will provide high-quality administrative support to our GP Partners, clinical team, and external agencies.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience working with clinical medical systems. A current driving license and car driver are also essential.
Main Duties
- To provide efficient administrative support to the GP Partners and clinical team, including typing letters, reports, and patient referrals.
- To utilize e-referrals and maintain up-to-date knowledge of referral destinations and specialist clinics.
- To process referrals and other documents, including creating referrals via Emis, printing and posting paperwork to patients, and dealing with phone calls from patients.
- To deal with clinician queries, chasing replies or test results from hospitals, and sending referrals to another hospital or consultant as needed.
- To prioritize referrals based on clinical need and urgency.
- To process and record all incoming requests relating to private fee work, including insurance, DWP, DVLA, and requests for medical reports.
- To complete certain sections of insurance reports, photocopying and printing medical records, and utilizing the IGPR system for medical reports and requests.
- To deal with queries regarding private fee work, including speaking with patients, insurance companies, and other outside agencies.
