The Role
We seek a dedicated and experienced Environmental and Health Manager to lead the implementation of our HSE strategy, focusing on safe behaviors and attitudes across all levels. Reporting to the General Manager, this role requires collaboration with business leaders to develop safety leadership and drive environmental management system improvements (ISO 14001). Successful candidates will possess a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and have experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the HSE strategy, prioritizing safe behaviors and attitudes throughout the business.
* Collaborate with business leaders to promote safety leadership and engage teams in driving improvement.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
* Engage with teams to drive environmental management system improvements (ISO 14001).

Requirements
To succeed in this challenging role, candidates must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
  • A holder of a NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety Policies/Procedures/Regulations – ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of working with environmental management systems and engaging with the teams of people needed to drive improvement. (ISO 14001)
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing culture and/or behavioral change in a complex organisation.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders to build effective relationships with internal customers and other external contacts.
  • Good organisational skills with an ability to manage own workload and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written including one to one and group meetings and presentations.
  • Ability to problem solve through to root cause.
  • High degree of personal resilience.
  • Good general IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and other in-house system.
