We are seeking a Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our Decommissioning Services team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level advice and support on radiological issues across defined projects.
Key Responsibilities- Take a leading role within the Radiological Protection team, acting as the responsible point of contact for radiological protection on project work.
- Support in the development of Project Execution Plans to ensure a fit-for-purpose approach is taken to each project.
- Seeking out potential innovations to projects and advising clients and/or project teams on lean delivery options.
- Directing and supporting Graduate and Assistant RP Engineers and other junior staff as required to meet project aims and their personal development targets.
- Developing RP arrangements for projects, including documentation such as Risk Assessments and Local Rules & Contingency Plans.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject, or demonstrable equivalent ability and experience.
- Able to technically justify approaches and see those through to successful implementation on plant.
- Able to produce high-quality, concise technical reports.
- Able to work without supervision, including managing own workload.
- Able to use standard Microsoft Office tools effectively.
- Able to travel.
- Hold a full driving license.
- Estimated salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
