Job Summary

The Geospatial Network Records Site Surveyor will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of network changes, ensuring that the GIS data is up-to-date and meets the required standards. This role will involve working closely with the Geospatial Network Records Team to ensure that the data is accurate and complete.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record network changes using GIS data capture techniques
  • Validate data against specified acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with the Geospatial Network Records Team to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Provide training to field staff and contractors in site recording techniques
  • Undertake quality assurance activities and reconciliation checks across asset systems

Requirements

  • Experience in site recording, surveying techniques, and GIS data capture
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in drafting techniques or subjects, e.g. GIS, Cartography, Surveying, Art or Design
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Motivated and able to use own initiative
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Practical understanding of the electricity distribution network, plant & equipment at all voltages

Working Environment

The Geospatial Network Records Site Surveyor will be based in the London office and will work closely with the Geospatial Network Records Team to ensure that the data is accurate and complete. The role will involve working in a pressured environment as part of a highly focused team with a determination to raise the standard and quality of the GIS system.
