Geospatial Innovation Director

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Geospatial professional to lead our GIS and Measured Survey Teams, drive business growth, and shape the future of our organisation. As Geospatial Innovation Director, you will be responsible for directing the successful running of our teams, collaborating with senior stakeholders, and developing innovative solutions that harness the power of Geospatial technology and data.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual to join our team as Geospatial Innovation Director. With extensive experience in the Geospatial industry, you will have a strong track record of designing, developing, and delivering client-centric Geospatial and Data Strategies, services, and product roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the strategic direction of our GIS and Measured Survey Teams, driving innovation and excellence in all aspects of Geospatial delivery.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive geospatial business plan, aligning with our company's vision and goals.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, leveraging your expertise in spatial data integration and enterprise systems.
- Manage change initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practice project/programme management methods.
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in the Geospatial industry, with a strong understanding of ESRI enterprise architecture and App development.
- Proven track record of leading strategic partnerships, managing client relationships, and driving business growth.
- Expertise in spatial and non-spatial data integration, including 3D datasets such as LiDAR and Photogrammetric derived datasets.
- A bachelor's degree, ideally MSc or PhD, and active membership of a Geospatially focused Professional Body (e.g., RICS, CICES, or RGS).
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
