Corporate Governance Expert

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Governance Expert to join our team at Sainsbury's Bank. As a key member of the Board, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient governance, regulatory compliance, and effective Company Secretarial support.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in company secretarial or legal functions, with exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage and prioritise workload.

This role offers a competitive salary of £50,000-£65,000 per annum, plus benefits including colleague discount, annual holiday allowance, and access to a range of discounts from hundreds of other retailers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance.
  2. Providing proactive and effective Company Secretarial support to the Bank's Board, Board Sub-Committees, and Executive Committees.
  3. Creating, documenting, and maintaining accurate records of papers, presentations, and decisions taken at key Governance committees.
  4. Arranging Board and Committee meetings and deputising for the Company Secretary when necessary.
  5. Contributing to the improvement and streamlining of the Bank's Corporate Governance framework.
