James Stevens Associates are delighted to be working with a wonderful Housing provider that are now looking for a Governance and Risk Manager (Hybrid) to help them with their regulatory engagement.
Job Details- Role: Governance and Risk Manager (Hybrid)
- Format: 12 month fixed term contract
- Salary: £62,000
- Hybrid: 2 days in the office, 3 days from home
- Pilot: 35 hour week (Friday's 9am - 1pm as a reduced hour policy the org are piloting)
- Offices: Buckinghamshire
- Experience: Housing Governance experience is essential.
- 26 days annual leave, rising to 29 days after five years, together with eight UK bank holidays

To take a lead role under guidance of Head of Governance in preparation for forthcoming RSH Inspection. The role will work closely with Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Board, and where applicable our Representative Team, to ensure preparedness for the forthcoming RSH Inspection with the view to achieve G1, V1, C1 assessment.
- Preparation of an exhaustive review of all important documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Ensuring quick access to essential documents such as tenancy agreements, stock condition survey, asset management, maintenance and governance documentation.
- Lead documentation of compliance with the consumer and economic standards.
- Provide advice, guidance and briefing on housing strategies, policies, projects related to RSH and HoS.
- Review risk policy framework and lead on risk appetite and tolerance assessment.
- Lead and advise on the RSH Inspection compliance framework.
- Oversee and advise on policy compliance with relevant regulations and legislations.
- Keep abreast of regulatory and legislative changes impacting the business.
- Work with senior stakeholders on initiatives and projects to improve service delivery.
- Report on external benchmarking data.
