About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Auditor and Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Royal Star & Garter. As a key member of our assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our operations. Your expertise in internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory compliance requirements will be essential in identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive audit plans to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of our internal controls.
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc audits of clinical and operational processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for enhancement.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans, to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Utilise data analytics tools to enhance audit effectiveness and provide valuable insights to management.
  • Work closely with departments to implement and monitor internal control procedures, promoting best practices and operational efficiencies.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Auditor and Risk Management Specialist with a strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory compliance requirements. You will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in audit, assurance, risk management, or a related field, with a qualification in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Your professional certification, such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent, is essential. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
