About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our established grounds team as Deputy Head Groundsperson. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the grounds department, ensuring the maintenance of high-quality grounds and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the grounds team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of grounds maintenance services
  • Develop and implement grounds maintenance strategies to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of grounds services with other college operations
  • Monitor and control budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery of grounds services
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in grounds maintenance or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
