Grounds Maintenance Manager

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Job Summary:Brighton College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Groundsperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the preparation and maintenance of sports surfaces and pitches for all college fixtures and games sessions.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with sports teams to ensure surfaces are prepared and inspected for all fixtures and games sessions.
- Manage a busy routine to optimize pitch availability for grounds work.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are met for each task, in line with legislation and college policies.
- Manage projects to the highest standards, working with sub-contractors as needed.
- Carry out other reasonable management instructions.
- NVQ 2 or equivalent in sports turf or a related field.
- Full and clean driving license, as we are a multi-site facility.
- Management experience and proven leadership and communication skills.
- At least 3 years practical multisport grounds management experience, particularly in cricket preparation.
- Chainsaw certificate.
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday inclusive. Winter hours: 7am-3:30pm. Summer hours: 7am-4pm.
Remuneration:£32,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Holidays:23 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 28 days plus bank holidays after 2 years of service.
