Job Summary:

The AD WARRIOR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Groundsperson to join our team. As a key member of our grounds operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our sports facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with senior management to develop and implement grounds maintenance strategies
  • Oversee the preparation and inspection of sports surfaces and pitches for fixtures and games
  • Manage a busy routine to optimize pitch availability for grounds work
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Lead projects to improve site provision and quality, working with contractors as needed
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members
  • Contribute to the development of grounds operations policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • NVQ 2 or equivalent in sports turf or a related field
  • Full and clean driving license
  • At least 3 years of experience in multisport grounds management, with a focus on cricket preparation
  • Chainsaw certificate
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours during peak periods.
