Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Head Groundsperson

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Groundsperson to join our team at Ad Warrior Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our sports facilities, including grounds, pitches, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with Sports Teams: Collaborate with sports teams and coaches to ensure that our sports facilities are prepared and inspected for all fixtures and games.
  2. Grounds Maintenance: Oversee the daily maintenance of our grounds, including mowing, edging, and fertilizing.
  3. Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed, including risk assessments and method statements.
  4. Project Management: Manage projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of grounds staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
Person Specification:
  1. Qualifications: NVQ 2 or equivalent in sports turf management or a related field.
  2. Driving License: Full and clean driving license, as we are a multi-site facility.
Desirable Criteria:
  1. Management Experience: Some management level experience and proven leadership and communication skills.
  2. Grounds Management Experience: At least 3 years practical multisport grounds management experience, in particular cricket preparation.
  3. Certifications: Chainsaw Certificate.
Working Hours:

40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday inclusive.

Remuneration:

The salary for this role will be £32,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Holidays:

23 days, plus bank holidays increasing to 28 days plus bank holidays after 2 years of service.
